Loving Life, Friday, August 6, 2010

Typically I enjoy Fridays. Not that I don't love spending hours at the shop, but, Friday is my pilates day. Funny thing though - I went to my usual, every Friday at 2 pilates class - no one was there. Did I miss a memo? OK! Well . . . I have plenty to do. Usual mounds of busy day laundry and much more.

So . . . I've come home, started laundry and begun to work on e-marketing things . . . this blog is certainly a part of that, as well as a part of my personal therapy.

I started my day with a meeting with two wonderful young people that can . . . and will . . . help me with E "stuff". Susan Wilburn and Jarrett Holmes. They are really talented. I am sending them up to work with Buddy at Best Mattress, as well. I can't wait to get up and running with them. Actually they said that they really liked my website and my facebook pages (Thank you again, to KIM FOWLER AT FOWLER CREATIVE). My needs are to drive traffic to these sites and I know that they are just the ones to help with that.

My 1st client was just wonderful! She was not really a "spa" type of lady. I think I changed that for her. She said that she didn't realize just how wound up tight she was. Shortly, this client was limp as a dishrag. I could see exactly when she let go and decided she needed to relax. That's a beautiful thing for me. Got another convert!

This leads me to write about the benefits of professional massage - just as a way of reminder or maybe even education. What is a facial good for? Obviously a facial is good for tired, stressed, aging or acne skin. Regular facials can work on all of those things. There are many additional services a professional esthetician can provide like, microdermabrasion (I'll devote an entire blog to that sometime), waxing, body treatments/wraps, airbrush tanning and much, much more. However, I want to write now about the benefits of JUST facial massage - included with most facials.

Facial Massage can:
increase your circulation

improve your endurance

elevate your corpuscle count cor·pus·cle
a. An unattached body cell, such as a blood or lymph cell.
b. A rounded globular mass of cells, such as the pressure receptor on certain nerve endings.
2. A discrete particle, such as a photon or an electron.
3. A minute globular particlecles

pump fresh oxygen to your muscles

eliminate toxins from your blood

lower your blood pressure

create a resting state for your heart

lower your anxiety level

diminish nervous tension

see worry lines disappear

experience an overall relaxed state

feel your energy renewed

Lots of good stuff listed there, don't you think? I know I need regular stress therapy. I am so lucky to have a "sista" in the biz. My wonderful pal, Von Robertson and I, get to trade out services with one another. Thankful indeed.

Oh . . . washing machine just screamed at me to let me know it's time to move it over to the dryer. This is just another day in my life. I'm loving it!
